Stars on Stage KidsTheatric arts are a great way for kids in early childhood education to develop life-changing skills. Our program builds self-confidence, improves literacy, and develops social skills by introducing them to performing arts like theater and song with a focus on fairy tale stories already familiar to the kids.

WHY IS THEATER for kids?
Studies show that skills learned through drama and theater can improve social bonding, allow for emotions to be explored in a safe space, develop emotional and cognitive skills to prepare kids for growing up in a complex world.
Theater engages young people in ways that other forms of communications can’t. It creates powerful emotional engagement as well as full sensory engagement.
Our goals for your kids include:
- Self confidence
- Creative expression
- Spatial and body awareness
- Performing with confidence
HANDS ON LEARNING
Stars on Stage Kids teaches the basics of theater. Your child will:
- Learn stage directions and theater terms via drama games
- Create props and sets during art time
- Discover characters through playing in costumes
- Experience the joy of performing on stage while acting out fairytale stories
Each program concludes with a performance put on by the kids. This gives them the chance to showcase what they have learned from Stars on Stage to their families and friends.
OUR Mission
Kids need a variety of experiences
Stars on Stage Kids provides theater-based enrichment programs using storytelling, theatrical arts, and games to help improve literacy, self-confidence, and social skills for young children
MEET
Sasha Friedman
“Kids this age are so amazing in how they can learn and absorb. We love to tap into that natural curiosity and open up their creativity and confidence. They have so much fun acting and singing, and they are growing so many skills at the same time.”
– Sasha Friedman
MEET
Kirsten Krehbiel
“I can’t wait to see the growth and joy from each of the young Stars on Stage. Nothing can describe the joy of seeing them opening up through acting exercises and discovering their talents and abilities on stage!”
– Kirsten Krehbiel
Stars on Stage is simply fantastic! Ms. Sasha and Ms. Kirsten are both incredible at engaging kids, drawing them fully in to whatever story or song they are exploring during a given class. Wyatt has always had a huge imagination and loves music, so it was a ton of fun for him to have the opportunity to act out stories, dress up like specific characters, create props, and perform a song for his classmates. We loved Stars on Stage and would do it again in a heartbeat!
I just wanted to let you know that Ellie is so happy!! She looks forward to camp ALL Day! Thank you for making such a special experience for her. She even acts out the plays for us and puts her own twist on the stories.
Thank you!

What Acting Has Meant to Me
I lost my mother as a child in a tragedy that shook me to my core. Even though I was surrounded by love from the rest of my family and seemed a happy child, I buried my sadness and anger deep within myself. I began acting in high school. Theatre for me started as a...
How theater led me here
I remember the exact moment that I knew I wanted to be an actress. I was in my 7th grade play of "Oliver" as Mrs. Corney. I remember being on stage and amazing feeling coming over me which felt like I was home. My family and I moved to the US from Russia when I was 8...
